CROMWELL, CT — A construction worker was fired for using a construction vehicle's siren and PA system to broadcast vulgar messages, according to a Cromwell Fire Department Facebook post. Fire officials said the vehicle, which appeared to be a retired ambulance with "GN Construction" written on it, was seen around the town.

The driver was yelling profanities at Chicago Sams Plaza. The construction company owner called the fire department after seeing the Facebook post and said he was unaware of the incident.

He had loaned the vehicle to an employee whose car broke down. The owner called the fire department to apologize for his employee's actions. He has since recovered the vehicle and fired the employee, according to the fire department.
