A Benzonia man was charged Thursday with aggravated stalking after sending vulgar emails to staff members at the 19th Circuit Court in Manistee in April.
In April, troopers were called about an alleged threat to court officials at the 19th Circuit Court. They say staff members were receiving derogatory and vulgar emails.
Ryan King, 45, of Benzonia, had been asked to leave the court office in September 2021 after being loud, argumentative and vulgar with staff members, according to MSP in a release Thursday. Multiple emails from King had been sent to the staff despite him being told to stop all contact.
An arrest warrant was authorized July 8, and King was arrested at his home Wednesday.
King was charged Thursday with one count of aggravated stalking, and is due back in court in late-July.
