The National Basketball Association fines Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant $50,000 after actor Michael Rapaport posted screenshots of direct messages showing a vulgar exchange that many people said was offensive and homophobic. Others came to the defense of Durant or Rapaport, while others criticized them both.

On Tuesday, Rapaport posed four screenshots of social media DMs between himself and Durant that were sent on Dec. 23 last year.

On Dec. 22, Rapaport tweeted:

KD seemed deeply in his feelings with the @NBAonTNT crew after the game. DAMNIT [sic] he's super sensitive about everything. Don't do the interview."

Rapaport was referring to an interview Durant gave with TNT analyst Charles Barkley, where he gave Barkley a one word answer, "yeah."

The day after the interview, Durant messaged Rapaport, saying: "U a b****."

The pair then engaged in a series of messages, mostly from Durant, where he continually called Rapaport names, made fun of his "pale" and "pasty" skin tone, and several references to fellatio.

You can read the full exchange in Rapaport's tweet here. GRAPHIC WARNING: As stated before, the tweet contains graphic language.
