The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 760 new positive cases of COVID-19 Sunday.

This brings the statewide total to 118,852, according to the Dept. of Health.

“As the state has put in place targeted mitigation efforts to offset recent case increases, we must renew our commitment to protecting against COVID-19 by wearing a mask, practicing social distancing and following the requirements set forth in the orders for bars and restaurants, gatherings and telework,” Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said in the news release.

Just over 150,000 tests were administered between Aug. 1 and Aug. 7, with 5,231 positive cases. 23,317 test results were reported to the department through 10 p.m. on Aug. 7. 

The Dept. of Health reports an increase of one new death reported. There are 7,314 total deaths attributed to COVID-19.
