What’s really vulgar is AOC’s fake outrage: Devine - New York Post

musognaol.blogspot.com

America is suffering through a pandemic, riots, a violent crime wave, a recession and record unemployment, but Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Queens-Bronx) wasted an hour of the nation’s time on feigned outrage in Congress over an alleged insult she didn’t even hear.

Rep. Ted Yoho (R-Fla.) denies calling her a “f–king bitch,” a claim for which she offers no evidence, apart from the hearsay of a reporter from The Hill who claimed, in any case, that Yoho did not direct those words to AOC.

The reporter, Mike Lillis, wrote that Yoho uttered those words as “a parting thought to no one in particular,” and out of earshot of AOC.

Yoho says he never said them. What he says he said, when he was recovering from a robust encounter with AOC on the Capitol Steps was “f–king BS.”

AOC is playing a destructive and dishonest verbal game. She claims Yoho “decided to accost me on the steps of the nation’s Capitol.” She describes the encounter as “virulent harassment of a young woman.”

In her misogyny speech to the House she said Yoho “put his finger in” my face. She is using the fury that a woman summons for physical assault to describe an imaginary grievance, an insult she never heard and which Yoho denies saying.

Yet, instead of rebuking her performative narcissism, the media gushed over her dishonest speech: a “Powerful Rebuke to Sexism” “A lesson in Decency.”

Yeah, sure.

Her story should be challenged.

Both Yoho and AOC agree there was a verbal altercation last Monday. He apologized for “the abrupt manner of the conversation.”

She refuses to accept his apology because he won’t admit to saying something she didn’t hear him say.

Yoho says he stopped her to challenge her farcical claim that the surge in crime in New York City was due to people being hungry.

“When she told me that, yes, she thought it was right for people to go ahead and shoplift if you’re hungry, I said . . . those are just absolutely the most frickin’ crazy policy ideas . . . Your policy ideas are disgusting.”

Asked if he had called AOC a “f–king bitch” he said, “No. I walked down the steps, and I said, ‘This is just such frickin BS.’ ”

In the telling of Lillis: “Yoho told Ocasio-Cortez she was ‘disgusting’ for recently suggesting that poverty and unemployment are driving a spike in crime in New York City . . .

“The two then parted ways. Ocasio-Cortez headed into the building, while Yoho, joined by Rep. Roger Williams (R-Texas), began descending toward the House office buildings. A few steps down, Yoho offered a parting thought to no one in particular.

“F–king bitch,” he said.

Williams said he never heard those words.

AOC called him a “liar” and demeaned both congressmen, saying they “think their little man card will be taken away if they apologize for their absurd behavior.”

When AOC first heard about the comment, she turned it into a defiant tweet “hey ‘bitches’ get stuff done.”

But two days later, she staged a pantomime of fainting-couch feminism, gratuitously reading the vulgarity into the Congressional Record.

“Representative Yoho called me, and I quote, “a f–king bitch.”

She claimed the slur was aimed at “every woman in this country . . . This is a pattern of an attitude towards women and dehumanization of others.”

She attacked Yoho’s family. “Having a daughter does not make a man decent.”

She used her female privilege to claim immunity from criticism yet mercilessly attacked a fellow member of Congress.

But Yoho was right to challenge AOC on her comments excusing New York’s crime wave during a virtual town hall on the very day that 1-year-old Davell Gardner Jr. was killed at a family cookout in Brooklyn.

“Why is this uptick in crime happening? . . . Do we think it has to do with record unemployment in the US right now?” she said.

She pretends now that she was talking about “petty crime.”

But anyone who lives in New York knows that the “uptick in crime” refers to shootings and homicide.

Her words betrayed callousness for the tragedies that have befallen families like the Gardners.

She doesn’t care about the working class because she is doing whatever she can to destroy their jobs, through her Green New Deal.

Unlike, AOC, Yoho, genuinely has lived in poverty and pulled himself up by the bootstraps. He’s been married to his childhood sweetheart Carolyn for 45 years, and is pro-life.

That record counts and he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

AOC looks like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth. But she is a practiced liar.

Caught out in “four Pinocchios” by The Washington Post last year, she didn’t even have the grace to be ashamed.

She told Anderson Cooper on “60 Minutes,” “I think that there’s a lot of people more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right.”

Apart from the fact that the truth always matters, AOC is the last person we want deciding for us what is “morally right.”

Her concern for women is phony, too, or she would have used her influence to rein in the misogynistic behavior of the Bernie Bros instead of running cover for them.

She’s happy to give Joe Biden cover when it comes to Tara Reade’s actual allegations of sexual assault in the halls of the Capitol.

When asked by National Public Radio in May about Reade she said “it sounds like [Reade] simply wants to be heard.”

AOC is as entitled and arrogant as they come. Who could forget her and accusing White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany of racism and disrespect for referring to her as a “Biden adviser,” rather than “Congresswoman.” But it was another lie.

It doesn’t matter how much lipstick AOC applies, the words that come out of her lips are ugly, divisive, and dishonest. She is a wolf in lamb’s clothing and it’s about time she faced the consequences.
