State health officials reported 957 more confirmed cases of COVID-19 and one new coronavirus-related death.
The positive cases account for 9.6% of the 9,978 tests processed since Saturday, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. The daily positivity rate, a key indicator of the disease's overall prevalence, fell below 3% during the first half of June but has been increasing recently.
As of Sunday, 48,827 people tested positive for the virus; 9,946 of those cases remain active, while 77.8% of people have recovered from COVID-19.
Overall, nearly 2% of Wisconsinites who tested positive have died from the virus, for a total of 892 people.
There were 312 people in hospitals with known cases of the virus as of Sunday, which is 19 fewer than last Sunday. Of those, 60 were in intensive care, according to the Wisconsin Hospital Association.
Virus activity ratings by county as of Wednesday were as follows, according to DHS. Parentheses reflect a change in the activity level from last week's rating.

Global cases have surpassed 16 million, and deaths neared 647,000 as of mid-Sunday, according to Johns Hopkins University. More than 4.2 million of those cases and 146,000 deaths were in the United States.
