Mukesh Khanna calls Kapil Sharma's show 'vulgar' and 'ridiculous'; reveals why he refused to appear on it - Times of India

For one of The Kapil Sharma Show's episodes post lockdown, Kapil Sharma had invited the cast of Mahabharat. While most of its popular actors appeared on the show, Mukesh Khanna, who played the role of Bhishma Pitamah in the epic, decided to give it a skip. His absence led to speculations which now the actor has explained.
Taking to his social media account, Mukesh Khanna revealed that he refused the invitation of appearing on the show himself. He shared that he knows that all big actors go to the show but he declined because he finds the show 'vulgar'.
Mukesh Khanna slammed its double meaning jokes and the artistes who dress up as women despite being men. He even ridiculed those who laugh at their 'nonsensical' jokes.
The actor didn't stop there. He mocked Archana Puran Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu (who was earlier a part of the show) for laughing forcefully at jokes cracked by the comedians.

Mukesh ridiculed the question Kapil had asked Arun Govil, who played the role of Lord Ram in Ramayan, about his underwear on the beach when he had appeared on the show. The actor said he just saw the teaser and it filled him with disgust.

Take a look at his post here:
While Mukesh Khanna might have slammed the show and the nature of its comedy, it's not the first time that the show has made noise.
In its last episode, Kiku Sharda was slammed for impersonating a journalist who is known for covering Sushant Singh Rajput's death news. So much was the anger that viewers started the trend #BoycottKapilSharmaShow on Twitter.
